BARC 2 Meter Radio Net Preamble

 

QST, QST, QST, This is (Your call sign)_____________My name is _____________. I will be your net control for tonight’s net. At this time, I have been authorized by the Batesville Area Radio Club to use this frequency for our weekly radio net. We would like to thank the CAUHF group for the use of the link. We meet each and every Monday night at 2000 hours – 8:00 Central Standard Time, for several reasons: To test our equipment, practice our skills and to learn and practice how to correctly check into a net. We welcome all properly licensed amateur operator’s regardless of location or club affiliation to check into the net. Remember, this is a directed net and stations should transmit only when directed by Net Control.

 

When you call into the net, give my call sign:(Your Callsign_____________) please do not un-key, give your call sign, followed by your name and location. Please give your call sign slowly and phonetically. Remember when you check in please make it a single transmission.

 

If emergency traffic should arise during the net, use the words BREAK, BREAK followed by your call sign, you will then be recognized and authorized to give your emergency information.
